Education and Experience
Adam VanHo is a native of northeast Ohio who went on to earn his degree from the Cleveland-Marshall College of Law at Cleveland State University. He has devoted his career to the citizens of this region. He knows the law, he knows the court system, and he knows the issues that Ohioans face.
During law school, VanHo was a member of the trial team and served as Articles Editor at the Cleveland State Law Review. He interned at the Philadelphia (Pennsylvania) District Attorney’s Office, the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor’s Office, the United States Attorney’s Office in Cleveland, and on the third trial of Doctor Sam Sheppard.
Today, Adam VanHo is licensed to practice before all state courts in Ohio; the United States District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of Ohio; the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit; the United States Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces; and the United States Supreme Court.

He has experience representing individuals and businesses with a variety of legal needs and is prepared to handle both trial and appellate cases. In fact, he has worked to defend individuals accused of felonies, misdemeanors, and traffic offenses including DUI/OVI.
VanHo spent many years as a prosecutor prior to entering private practice, including work as an Assistant Attorney General, where he was a member of the elite Capital Crimes (Death Penalty) Unit and Special Prosecutions Section. He also worked as a special prosecutor in Summit and Jefferson counties and prosecuted cases on behalf of the Ohio Organized Crime Investigations Commission (OOCIC). This prosecutorial experience has given him valuable insight into the legal process that is key to his successes as a defense attorney.
A native of Euclid and a member of the First United Methodist Church in Cuyahoga Falls, Adam and his family live in Akron’s historic Firestone Park neighborhood.
